Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist Location:
Friends of Cyrus - New Jersey Quality Assurance Specialist - Day Programs We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support quality and compliance across our Day Programs serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey (Monmouth and Burlington Counties). The QA Specialist will conduct routine program audits, monitor documentation and regulatory compliance, identify areas requiring corrective action, and work collaboratively with program leadership to ensure services meet agency and NJ DDD standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site quality assurance audits of Day Programs Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Monitor implementation of ISPs, individual supports, and required program documentation Identify deficiencies and track corrective actions through completion Observe program operations, staff practices, activities, and service delivery Assist with licensing, regulatory, and internal audit preparation Prepare clear written findings and QA reports Provide guidance and follow-up to program leadership regarding identified concerns
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities Knowledge of NJ DDD requirements and Day Program services preferred Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills Ability to conduct objective audits and provide constructive feedback Valid driver's license and ability to travel between program locations This is a hands-on quality assurance position for someone who is organized, observant, comfortable working in the field, and committed to ensuring individuals receive safe, compliant, and high-quality services.
