Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description
What You Will Own Build, review, and submit complete technical data packages and first article documentation (AS9102) to customers, catching every gap before it becomes a customer finding. Review material certifications, outside process records, traveler documentation, and purchase order requirements for completeness and compliance. Perform and document visual inspections; identify nonconforming conditions and communicate findings to Quality and Production promptly. Support and participate in customer source inspections, with all records staged and ready before the customer walks in. Identify documentation discrepancies or specification conflicts and drive them to resolution with Quality and Engineering. Train and support other Quality staff on documentation procedures, specification interpretation, and customer submission standards (Level II/III). What Delva Brings We are an AS9100 Rev D certified CNC machine shop in Cinnaminson, NJ, holding tolerances to +/-0.0002" across aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and exotic alloys for aerospace and defense customers. Our floor runs two shifts on Vertical Mills, Lathes, Swiss Lathes, and Mazak 5-axis horizontals with robotic loaders and automated pallet systems. This is not a generic shop floor role. The documentation you own reflects the precision of what we make, and our customers inspect it that way.
What You Bring Must-have:
High school diploma or GED. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including ballooning.Experience reviewing quality documentation:
material certifications, outside process records, traveler packages, or similar. Attention to detail that catches errors before they leave your desk, not after they reach a customer. Clear written and verbal communication; you can explain a documentation gap to a customer or a machinist without confusion. 2+ years of relevant experience (Level I); 0-2 years with AS9102 or similar FAI exposure (Level II); 2-5 years with hands-on FAI and customer-facing documentation ownership (Level III).Nice-to-have:
Trade or vocational certificate in quality, manufacturing, or a related field (especially valued at Level III). Familiarity with AS9100D quality management systems. Experience supporting customer source inspections in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment. Background with corrective action documentation or internal audit support.
