Job Description

job summary: Join the team in Fair Lawn, NJ, as a QC Technician II (Second Shift). This is a critical role for a detail-oriented professional looking to make a direct impact on manufacturing quality. You will work a consistent second shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) in a fast-paced laboratory environment focused on finished product release and in-line testing.

Fair Lawn, New Jersey job type: Contract work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform fit-for-purpose analytical testing for in-line and finished product release following strict operating procedures. Prepare standards and samples for analysis and operate laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision. Document all analytical data in LIMS and laboratory notebooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Assist in Out of Specification (OOS) investigations by conducting relevant testing and thorough documentation. Support Lean Six Sigma initiatives and continuous improvement activities to optimize laboratory methods. Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and safety standards.
qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field. Minimum of 2 years of industry experience, specifically within the Chemistry or Bio/Pharmaceutical sectors. Proficiency in wet chemistry and basic analytical instrumentation. Ability to work the 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM shift.
Preferred:
Hands-on experience with chromatography. Familiarity with analytical test methods including ACS, USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, or FCC. Knowledge of Lean methods and process improvement initiatives.
