About the Role As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards for our manufactured products by ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols. You will work cross-functionally to investigate non-conformances, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and champion a culture of safety and excellence across the production floor. Responsibilities Partner with operations and engineering teams to identify, investigate, and resolve product quality issues, ensuring timely corrective actions. Provide actionable guidance to production staff regarding standard operating procedures and quality compliance during manufacturing events. Facilitate continuous improvement projects, including 5S initiatives and special quality-focused assignments to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor and verify raw materials and finished goods to ensure they meet stringent consumer safety and quality requirements. Manage quality system documentation and maintain accurate records for tracking and trending product performance. Conduct inspections and utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to maintain product integrity. Actively promote a safety-first environment by identifying hazards, implementing solutions, and fostering a culture of accountability. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in a quality assurance or inspection role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of quality principles, inspection techniques, and the ability to read technical drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to perform precise gauge measurements and differentiate colors accurately. Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Preferred Skills Familiarity with ERP or quality management software systems. Prior experience in food safety or regulated manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to lead small projects or continuous improvement efforts.
