Leonia, NJ Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM About the Role We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician - Quality Services to join our Quality Control team in Leonia, NJ. This role is responsible for performing routine laboratory support functions, basic analytical testing, glassware cleaning, sample preparation, and maintaining a clean and compliant laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level laboratory professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a regulated laboratory setting while learning advanced quality control and analytical techniques. Key Responsibilities Perform qualitative analysis of samples. Conduct routine laboratory support activities including: Sample collection Media, reagent, and standard solution preparation Inventory stocking and supply distribution Glassware collection, cleaning, and storage Accurately record laboratory data, perform calculations, and maintain related documentation. Review data for accuracy and support reporting activities. Prioritize workload to meet testing schedules and deadlines. Communicate equipment and supply needs to management to prevent testing delays. Maintain records and documentation in compliance with company policies, GMP requirements, and regulatory standards. Follow all applicable SOPs, Quality Procedures (QPs), GMPs, and safety guidelines. Practice proper housekeeping techniques to prevent contamination, analytical errors, and safety hazards. Handle hazardous materials and laboratory waste safely and responsibly. Assist laboratory personnel with testing, instrumentation, and advanced laboratory procedures. Identify and immediately report atypical or out-of-specification (OOS) results to supervision. Work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic mathematical and analytical abilities.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline. 0-1 year of laboratory experience. Desired Skills & Experience Ability to learn laboratory and analytical testing techniques. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Capable of organizing, evaluating, and interpreting laboratory data. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively within a team. Work Environment This position is based in a laboratory setting and may involve exposure to: Laboratory chemicals and powders Hazardous materials and laboratory waste Common allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, milk/dairy, eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Leonia, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
