$23.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-3:15 PM Job Overview In this role, you will inspect incoming extrusion materials and related goods to ensure they meet established quality specifications. The ideal candidate has experience using basic inspection and measurement tools, can read engineering drawings, and is comfortable documenting inspection results using a computer. Responsibilities Review supplier paperwork, labels, and incoming material documentation Inspect incoming extrusion materials for: Correct dimensions and profile shape Dents, scratches, stains, warping, and other physical damage Oil, debris, foreign material, and other contamination Use measurement tools such as calipers and taper gauges Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality records Identify and tag materials as acceptable or nonconforming Complete nonconformance reports for materials that fail inspection Communicate quality issues to the appropriate personnel Sort and inspect materials with known nonconformities Maintain an organized and safe inspection area Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned by the Quality Manager Qualifications Previous experience in quality inspection, incoming inspection, manufacturing, or a related environment Experience using measurement tools, including calipers and taper gauges Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings Basic computer skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work overtime as needed Zing Recruiting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
