Quality Inspector Job Description We are seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality standards by utilizing a variety of measurement tools and techniques in a metal manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Use calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, and optical non-contact visual inspection machines to measure length, height, and diameter. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards. Recommend adjustments to assembly or production processes. Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced. Operate electronic inspection equipment and software, including coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and 3D scanners. Approve or reject raw materials or finished products based on quality standards, recording supplier performance. Remove products and materials that do not meet specifications. Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected. Prepare and submit reports to Quality Management. Assist production personnel in promoting ideas for controlling wasted materials and time. Maintain open communication with the QA Manager regarding revisions, updates, changes, and non-conformance. Facilitate

quality-related investigations and lead audits for the QMS. Lead investigations of customer complaints regarding quality. Essential Skills Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Experience with quality systems documentation and ERP systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with Keyence measuring equipment or willingness to learn. Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak in meetings and with management. Independent decision-making skills and ability to manage one individual. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with non-contact measuring equipment. Familiarity with AS9100 standards for Aerospace quality. Experience with

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
