Job Description

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing inspections, visual checks, documentation review, data entry, test, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts, components used in the manufacturing of pressure transducers; performing various tasks related to the quality function.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs inspection of finished machined and assembled parts and all mechanical measurements. Performs in-process measurements to ensure parts are manufactured per specifications. Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product as well as all quality related inspection requirements. Participates in Quality investigations. Works safely and actively participates in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures. Participates in team activities including LEAN projects and activities and other continuous improvement activities. Performs inspection of documents to ensure all incoming parts meet requirements. Ability to work overtime. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2 years prior experience in Quality Control, receiving inspection. Working knowledge of mechanical measuring. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and experience with Microsoft Excel. Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork. Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed. Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing work instructions. Self-motivated and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision. Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Must have 20/20 vision with correction, and no color blindness, steady hands with good dexterity. (Company issued annual eye exam.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Never Occasionally Constantly Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Never Occasionally Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Never Occasionally Constantly Adjusting or moving objects up to 35 pounds in all directions. Never Occasionally Constantly Communicating with others to exchange information. Never Occasionally Constantly Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Never Occasionally Constantly Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. Never Occasionally Constantly Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Never Occasionally Constantly Noisy environments.
