Job Summary As a Quality Control Technologist/Technician, you will be responsible for conducting analytical testing at an independent level by conducting complex testing assays using various wet chemistry and instrumentation techniques.

Duties include:

• Perform testing of raw materials, batch, finished product full specification testing, Stability, utilities, R&D, and in-process checks of the manufacturing process, etc.
• Conduct lab assays such as colorimetric, chromatographic (column and thin layer), protein quantitative assay, gel electrophoresis, and USP tests for endotoxin, pH, heavy metals, and color.
• Operation of various laboratory equipment, manual testing, linear regression, instrument calibrations and volumetric preparations.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments and equipment.
• Document all work done in laboratory notebooks, evaluate test results, create final report, and enter results into computer. Peer review of other technicians' paperwork and notebook.
• Author or assist in the development of QC Methods, SOPs, Specifications.
• Assists with Out Of Specification (OOS) investigations and report results.
• Assist in the development of Equipment and method validations (assists in the execution of protocols).
• Ensure accuracy of instrument function and appropriateness of reagents used in testing.
• Review of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and reporting of any changes.
• Promotes and maintains a safe, healthy working environment and work area by instructing and enforcing compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
• May be required to perform other duties as required/assigned.

Required Qualifications Bachelor or Associates of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry or equivalent, and previous experience in technical-related field, sciences and/or laboratory is required, preferably at least 3 years' experience in a Quality Control Laboratory. Proficient in the use of analytical techniques; TOC Analyzer, HPLC, FT-IR, Karl Fischer, and/ or GC experience is an advantage. Ability to work independently to perform complex chemical and physical analyses. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment. Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word.
