Job Description
CH Thompson is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team! If you have a great eye for detail, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in getting the little things right, this could be a great opportunity for you. About the Job As a Quality Inspector, you'll work at a designated inspection table processing repeat customer parts. You'll visually inspect painted parts for defects, carefully remove masking materials, and perform touch-up work when necessary to ensure the finished part meets customer requirements. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented production role where consistency and attention to detail are critical. You'll become familiar with the specific requirements of the customers and parts you work with and learn what to look for during each inspection. What You'll Do Visually inspect painted parts for defects, imperfections, and areas requiring attention. Carefully remove masking materials such as tape, plugs, and liquid mask after processing. Identify common paint defects and other imperfections. Perform minor paint touch-ups as needed. Ensure touch-up work blends appropriately with the surrounding finish. Follow customer-specific work instructions and inspection requirements. Maintain consistent quality while processing repeat production parts. Recheck parts after touch-up to ensure the finished product meets requirements. Keep your inspection area clean, organized, and safe. Communicate questions or concerns to the Lead or Supervisor. Follow all company safety and quality procedures. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for visual defects. Takes pride in producing clean, quality work. Has good hand-eye coordination and enjoys precise, hands-on tasks. Is patient and able to maintain accuracy while performing repetitive work. Can follow written work instructions and customer-specific requirements. Is dependable and comfortable working independently. Can work at a steady pace while maintaining quality. Is comfortable performing detailed work with small parts and masking materials. Has basic computer skills. Is willing to learn paint touch-up techniques. Schedule Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-3:30pmFriday, 6:30am-12:30pm
