Job Description

Scale Operator Niagara Metals and our parent company Triple M Metal have grown from modest beginnings to become one of North America's largest, privately held, fully integrated recyclers of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals. Our growing enterprise operates 31 facilities across North America, including Canada, the United States and Mexico, with additional interests in Europe. Our established and far-reaching geographic network means we are optimally positioned to maintain and service our current customer base while making strides in new and emerging markets. We strive to build confidence and value from local or community-based peddlers to the most prominent international companies by providing customized solutions that deliver on all metal recycling and process needs. Niagara Metals is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Scale Operator. This position will be located at our Union Rd location in Cheektowaga, NY.

Company Matching Monthly Bonus Eligibility Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM & Saturday 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM Every other week: Monday to Friday 8:15 AM to 5:45
PM What We Expect:
Verify all info on paperwork going to drivers (Inbound and Outbound). Verify supplier Name on Scale Ticket with any Driver Paperwork. Verify Gross, Tare and Net Weights are correct. Distribute driver's paperwork. Input sort reports for accounts finalized by the warehouse into Mayer. Scan all completed inbound and outbound paperwork to main office. Prepare outbound and inbound customs paperwork. Maintain Car processing Logs and complete associated DMV and NMVTIS paperwork. Answer phone calls. All other tasks requested by management in addition to above mentioned items. Responsibilities /schedule may expand or evolve over time.
You Have:
Must exhibit core Values of Respect, Integrity, Excellence, Team, and Pride. 1 year in a similar role preferred. 1 year of work experience performing general administrative duties. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Analytical Strong attention to detail. Friendly, personable, works well on a team and independently.
