Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a Contract to Hire with a client in Fairport, NY. The ideal candidate with a strong background in First Article Inspections (FAI), precision measurement, and manufacturing quality processes.

Rate Range:

$25/Hour to $33/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Quality Assurance Technician Job Responsibilities include: Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. Conduct receiving and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment. Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product compliance and identify quality concerns. Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain accurate quality records, and communicate inspection findings to relevant stakeholders. Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities by managing inspection transactions and coordinating daily correspondence with cross-functional teams. Investigate and escalate quality issues, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma, technical certification, or Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
