AB_5022113 The CMM Quality Inspector is responsible for performing First Article, In-Process, and Final inspections on precision-machined and fabricated aerospace components to ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards. This role utilizes Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), precision measuring equipment, and inspection techniques to verify product conformity while supporting production and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or quality-related certification preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Experience performing First Article, In-Process, and Final inspections. Experience with CMM platforms and CMM inspections. CMM programming exp preferred but not mandatory. Experience using CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, or MODUS. Experience with FAA, DoD, or aerospace customer quality requirements.
salary:
$58,000 - $71,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: High School Responsibilities Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Conduct in-process inspections throughout manufacturing to verify dimensional accuracy and process compliance. Perform final inspections prior to shipment to ensure all customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements are met. Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using applicable inspection software. Inspect precision-machined, fabricated, and assembled aerospace components using CMMs and conventional inspection equipment.
