Fabrication Machine Operator

MetalWyze is seeking three (3) Machine Operators to join our fabrication team. You will operate advanced metal processing equipment, including the master coil farm, double folders, punch, and shear. We operate with a flat hierarchy, meaning you will be cross-trained on multiple machines. We are looking for operators who take pride in precision and are eager to learn the full workflow of a modern metal service center.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience operating CNC metal fabrication equipment (Press Brakes, Folders, Slitters, or Turret Punches). Ability to read tape measures, calipers, and micrometers with precision. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication tickets. Forklift experience is a plus, but will train. Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods. Commitment to safety protocols and keeping a clean workspace.

MAIN JOB TASKS & REQUIREMENTS

Operate the coil farm to process master coils into slit coils and cut-to-length sheets. Set up and run the double folder to bend edge metal profiles to customer specifications. Operate the CNC punch for perforated or punched metal components. Operate the sheet metal shear (as needed/trained) to cut packaging materials or simple sheet requests. Perform quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances are met. Load and unload materials using sit-down forklifts, ensuring coils and sheets are not damaged. Perform routine daily maintenance on machines (cleaning sensors, checking fluids). Package finished materials (stacking, banding) as needed to assist the warehouse team. Maintain a safe work environment by following all OSHA guidelines and MetalWyze safety policies. You will be expected to perform other duties assigned.
