A. POSITION SUMMARY

The QA/Compliance Review Specialist is responsible for completing internal quality and compliance reviews within Certified and Non-Certified Program settings. The Specialist will analyze data obtained through reviews and develop reports that summarize findings and make recommendations, as appropriate. The Review Specialist will provide technical assistance and support to program staff in developing improvement plans to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

B. POSITION DUTIES 1.

Completes internal quality and compliance reviews within certified and non-certified program settings. 2. Analyzes information gathered through the reviews and develops reports that identify recommendations to address areas of concern that are disseminated to program management teams. 3. Conducts monitoring visits to settings based on internal and external audit results. 4. Conducts weekly observations to settings to ensure policy and regulatory compliance. 5. Provides technical assistance and support to agency program staff in developing corrective actions for identified issues, as necessary, to ensure regulatory compliance. 6. Works collaboratively with management and program staff on the development of strategies, systems, policies/procedures, as appropriate to correct identified issues. 7. Attends trainings with Trade Associations, Justice Center and OPWDD to remain up to date with any changes with regulatory compliance. 8. Participates in standing committees, meetings, as assigned. 9. C. REQUIREMENTS 1.

Bachelor's degree in human services, quality assurance, healthcare administration, public administration, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. 2. Minimum of three years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or performing quality assurance, auditing, monitoring, or regulatory compliance activities. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal, New York State, and local requirements and standards governing certified and non-certified programs serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including requirements issued by the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, Medicaid oversight authorities, and other applicable regulatory bodies. 4. Experience conducting internal reviews or audits, documenting findings, analyzing trends, preparing clear and objective reports, and supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of corrective action plans. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate review findings professionally and prepare clear, concise, and audit-ready reports for program management. 6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to use electronic quality assurance, compliance, and data-tracking systems. 7. Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical ability, sound judgment, confidentiality, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and manage multiple priorities. 8. Ability to travel to multiple program locations throughout the metropolitan area and work flexible hours or days when necessary to meet operational, review, or regulatory needs.

Base Pay:

$25.64 - $30.76 per hour
