Electrical Safety Specialist responsible for safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and risk management for transmission, substation, and electrical distribution construction activities. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience constructing, maintaining, or repairing above-ground or underground electrical distribution and transmission systems. 5+ years of progressive safety oversight experience. Knowledge of electrical operating procedures and environmental policies. Knowledge of equipment, standards, and practices applicable to transmission and substation construction. Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations. Ability to interpret and apply contract documents. Experience compiling and analyzing project data to monitor performance and identify trends. Computer and technology proficiency. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Preferred Skills Knowledge of FAA regulations. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience developing or delivering safety training. Experience identifying process improvement opportunities through safety and performance data analysis. Job Responsibilities Provide safety oversight for transmission, substation, and electrical distribution construction activities. Monitor compliance with OSHA requirements, electrical safety standards, and project-specific procedures. Review field activities for adherence to electrical operating procedures and environmental policies. Evaluate work practices, equipment usage, and jobsite conditions for safety compliance. Analyze project safety data to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities. Support corrective action development and implementation for identified safety issues. Review and apply contract requirements related to safety and field operations. Support safety training and regulatory compliance activities. Maintain required safety documentation and reporting. Support field teams with interpretation of applicable safety standards and construction requirements.
Pay:
