Job Description
Quality Control Inspector LANCO Factory (Ronkonkoma, NY)
Correct labeling and placementLot numbers, expiration dates, and print clarityProduct appearance and conditionFill levels (when applicable)Proper use of components (caps, tubes, bottles, packaging)Ensure proper line clearances between jobs.
Monitor production for adherence to Lanco procedures and basic GMPs. Finished-Goods InspectionsPerform final inspections before product release.
Verify count accuracy, packaging configuration, and seal integrity.
Identify and report mislabeled, damaged, or defective products. Documentation & RecordkeepingComplete QC forms, checklists, and inspection sheets accurately.
Document non-conformances clearly and escalate as needed.
Maintain organized paperwork to support traceability and customer requirements. GMP & Compliance SupportFollow Lanco SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and adhere to hygiene standards.
Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation. Cross-Functional SupportCommunicate quality concerns to Production Leads and Supervisors.
Assist with rework activities (relabeling, repacking, defect removal).Support incoming material checks as needed. QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.12 years of QC, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with OTC or cosmetic products is a plus.
Familiarity with promotional product packaging helpful.
Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail for identifying visual defects. Ability to read job travelers, labels, and basic specifications. Basic math, counting, and documentation skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work the assigned shift consistently. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods.
Frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures, scents, and noise. Work EnvironmentFast-paced Lanco production and packaging facility.
Exposure to lip balm, sanitizer, cosmetic raw materials, packaging components, and cleaning agents. Monday - Friday from 12:00pm - 08:30 PM Saturdays from 06:00 AM 12:00pm

Lanco Quality Control Position SummaryThe Lanco QC Inspector performs in-process and final inspections of lip balm, sanitizer, sunscreen, and promotional products produced or repacked at the Lanco facility. This role ensures products meet quality standards, labeling requirements, and customer specifications. Inspectors help identify defects, support corrective actions, and ensure that only compliant, high-quality products are released for shipment.
