Full Job Description Part-Time Quality Assurance Inspector Summary:
Visual and dimensional inspection and documentation of components The ideal candidate will have experience in either automotive or piston aircraft engine machining and rebuilding and/or manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however other duties may be assigned.
  • Identification, execution, and documentation of all processes approved to perform
  • Read and correctly interpret component references and dimensional blueprints
  • Fluent in accurately reading micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring devices
  • Navigate and operate computer software for appropriate FAA and OEM data
  • Keep safety equipment up to standards
  • Maintain building/workspace cleanliness At a minimum, experience and/or ability in the following is required:
  • Precision dimensional measuring
  • Navigation and comprehension of illustrated parts catalogs
  • 20/20 correctable visual acuity within 12"
  • Familiarity of engine specific components
  • Data entry and general computer software operations

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate delegation. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience. Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of shop and/or educational experience directly operating equipment used in the re-manufacturing of components within a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
Lifting up to 80 lbs. with assistance. Walking, crouching, and long periods of standing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance. The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
