In this critical role, you will help monitor our entire production process from start to finish—ensuring food safety and quality from the moment raw ingredients arrive until finished products are ready for shipment. You will work closely with plant operations and provide vital support to the Quality Assurance Manager during yearly audits, training sessions, and special projects.
Duties and Responsibilities Data & Record Management:
Accurately record and maintain key plant facility data across multiple compliance categories, including: Raw material receiving and product traceability records Daily Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) Critical Control Point (CCP) and Pest Control records Metal detection and pasteurizer temperature logs Daily product packaging labeling logs Production/packaging scale and QA instrument calibration records Monitoring processes againstPreventive Control Requirements Inspections & Audits:
Perform daily pre-op inspections (including swabbing), and audit/update key product specifications (individual weights, fill levels, metal detection, etc.) as directed by management.Testing & Analysis:
Conduct daily sensory analysis of finished products. Perform standard QA tests—including pH, water activity, titrations, weights, and organoleptic evaluations—on product retains according to compliance requirements.Compliance & Safety:
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are strictly followed across the processing room, warehouse, and storage cooler. Proactively instruct employees on how to correct any identified deficiencies.Team Support:
Assist the QA Manager with data filing/tracking, instrument calibrations, lab sample preparations, and plant associate training.Education and Qualifications Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems during a typical workday.Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coaching plant associates on GMP standards.Adaptability:
Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and build positive relationships across all company departments.Organization:
Solid organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and strong multi-tasking capabilities.Physical Environment:
