Job Summary:
- The Quality Inspector will perform highly diversified inspection activities per inspection plans, blueprints, or manufacturing outlines and determine conformance to published specifications using standard inspection equipment.
Essential Functions:
- + Perform highly diversified inspection activities per inspection plans, blueprints, or manufacturing outlines and determine conformance to published specifications using standard inspection equipment.
NEAR VISION:
Snellen 14/18 or better (20/25 or better Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches, Ortho-Rater 8 or equivalent). +COLOR VISION:
Average or normal (4 of 6 responses Titmus, B & L, or AD testing machines, or satisfactory responses when tested with Isihara or Pseudoisochromatic plates). + Perform routine maintenance per Appendix A and appropriate safety checks. + Responsible for product verification and process control including using necessary measuring devices. + Keep charts and records as required on completed sequences and processes. + Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures. + Complete all required paperwork. + Insure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement. + Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required. + Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR's, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets. + Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor. + Utilize computer to access various databases. + Perform 5S activities as required.Minimum Qualifications:
- + High School Diploma + Prior calibration experience preferred + Must have previous CMM experience and surface plate inspection experience.
Eligibility Requirement:
- This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Physical Demands:
- + Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and stretching. + Requires lifting parts and equipment up to 50 pounds.
