Job Description

This position is responsible for inspecting products to required specifications, completing inspection reports, identifying non-conforming products and ensuring all customer and Multilink requirements are exceeded. Key Job Responsibilities Approves final production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to supervisor Inspect manufactured product, including sheet metal parts Work with Quality team to communicate issues discovered during inspections Walk shop floor to perform routine part inspections Use different types of measuring equipment to perform inspections Cross train to inspect different departments ranging from manufacturing to assembly Document retrieval and logging using QMS (Quality Management System) Utilize prints to inspect parts Communicate with production/engineering team to address issues found to come to solutions Good attendance Reliable transportation to and from work Promote company policy Promote Quality expectations Education and Experience H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Ability to use calipers/caliper extenders/height gauges, etc. (preferred) Ability to read prints and specification to identify dimensions/notes called out Prior experience with using QMS (Quality Management System) Ability to use computer-based programs to record data First Article Inspection reporting (preferred) Manufacturing processes (preferred) Welding, Brake Press, Punch Turret/Laser, Hardware Insertion experience (preferred) Physical Requirements Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 - 50 lbs. frequently. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently. Sit, stand and walk for 1 - 10 hours per day. Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. Work Site Environment Ability to work in a 55 - 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
