Position Summary:
With guidance/direction from Quality Team Leadership, this role supports factory operations by monitoring inbound supplier products and/or in-process- products for delays caused by nonconformances, documentation gaps, shipping issues, or other disruptions, and by taking appropriate action to resolve issues affecting part availability.
Essential Functions:
Managing and resolving day-to-day problems/discrepancies that occur with supplier products and/or internal products to make the products available to Manufacturing Operations. This may include evaluating problems related to products or paperwork. Demonstrating business acumen in communicating with suppliers directly to solve issues to make product available to Manufacturing Operations. Support nonconforming parts process and assist with containment of product upon receipt or in process. Assist in validating supplier and/or internal corrective actions. Serves as a liaison between external and internal business functions as necessary to ensure premier customer service to drive continuous improvement activities. Reviewing Supplier and/or internal First Article Inspections, PPAPs and other quality documentation. Helps coordinate activities internally and/or externally related to customer returned goodsEducation:
High School Diploma or higher Experience working in or with Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing disciplinesExperience:
2-3 years of related inspection or supplier experience (Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, aerospace manufacturing preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in inspection methods and the use of inspection tools to evaluate parts.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective use of Microsoft software tools for communication. Must possess the ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions. Demonstrate the values of customer satisfaction, integrity, continuous improvement and adherence to standards, aiming to ensure consistently high-quality products and services. Proficiency in reading and understanding complex blueprints, route sheets, test specifications, customer specifications and internal drawings and procedures. Possess working knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry. Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Visual inspection skills required including the ability to distinguish between colors and pass a visual acuity test (which includes far vision, near vision and color perception). Preferred experience with measurement equipment and background in dimensioning and tolerancing perANSI Y 14.5.
Knowledge of applicable military standards or specifications as required.Additional Responsibilities:
