In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product excellence by performing thorough visual and dimensional inspections during welding, press, and molding trials. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to effectively communicate findings to team leaders and supporting departments. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical inspection, accurate data entry, and physical stamina, as it involves managing quality records across multiple facility locations.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions Dimensional & Visual Inspection:
Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of parts during all welding, press, and molding trials.
Quality Tool Utilization:
Master and utilize a variety of precision quality tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure parts meet strict engineering specifications.
Documentation & Data Entry:
Maintain accurate quality records. Take clear, detailed photographs of parts and check fixtures for documentation purposes, and log finding into databases.
Reporting & Communication:
Promptly communicate inspection findings and quality issues with the Team Leader and relevant support departments.
Reporting Tools:
Create, update, and manage professional quality documents using Microsoft Excel.
Project Support:
Assist with specialized inspection projects and other quality-related tasks as requested by leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills:
Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and Outlook) and a comfort level with database entry.
Analytical Aptitude:
Strong problem-solving abilities and a solid comfort level working with numbers and exact measurements.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, dexterity and a collaborative, teamwork-driven mindset. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Must be able to comfortably lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs. Must have the physical stamina for a high-activity environment that includes a significant amount of daily walking across 5 different facility locations.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
