Afternoon Shift Unit Quality Inspector/Group Leader

Ludlow Composites Corporation is an 80+year old leading manufacturer of PVC and latex foam products.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Unit Quality Inspector/Group Leader is responsible for ensuring that the unit is set-up for production in accordance with the daily production schedule as well as providing leadership to ensure, efficiency and continuous improvement consistent with established standards, customer expectations and production goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Shift is 5PM - 3AM (Monday - Thursday) Ensures all safety precautions are followed on unit during production Must be available to work overtime and/or Saturdays as needed. Reviews the unit schedule and the manufacturing orders to ensure correct process settings prior to production Ensures equipment is set up correctly Performs quality inspection of product and records results Monitor yardage and product width during production Completes all manufacturing orders Performs assigned Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) responsibilities. Ensures all materials meet the requirements of production. Develops an understanding of relevant

ISO 9001

2015 Standards and ensures processes are in compliance with quality requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

Must be 18 years of age. Two years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ability to read and write effectively; good communication skills. Excellent math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Strong computer skills; ability to learn Ludlow specific software and spreadsheets Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50lbs. consistently Ability to operate forklift in accordance with Ludlow Composites safety policy Must pass drug screen Must pass background screen
