Scope of Responsibility:
Maintains production by ensuring employees have access to the proper equipment and supplies. Keeps an inventory of tools; inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and orders new equipment when needed.Essential Duties:
Assists in maintaining an efficient production environment by promptly supplying associates with proper tools, equipment and supplies Ensures receipt and inventory of all consumables Stock all incoming inventory to assigned bin locations Prepares weekly inventory and maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment Deliver tools or equipment to workers Assign tools to new employees Completes small tool repair (example: replacing damaged guards on grinders) Issues PPE, consumables, and equipment out of Epicor inventory Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Notifies supervisors of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety, inventory accuracy and productivity Maintains a high awareness of personal safety at all times in a neat and orderly working environment Other duties as assigned, directed, requested, or needed.Position Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in related area High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills Communication skills Understanding of inventory management techniques Industrial Production Equipment Maintenance Technical Understanding Technical Aptitude Attention to Detail Flexibility Self-MotivatedTEAM PLAYER
Physical Requirements:
Position requires work in a plant/manufacturing environment. Required PPE includes safety glasses, steel-toe metatarsal boots and hearing protection worn at all time on the production floor in addition to other specific PPE that must be work for specific tasks Environment may include fluctuations in temperature, dust and noise. Must be capable of bending, stooping, crawling under or over and occasional climbing, pushing, prying and dragging heavy materials. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to pass commercial driver vision testing requirements. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials. Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual. Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
