Job Description

1st Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Job Description Ensure finished goods meet established quality standards by performing a variety of tests at varying stages of production. Position functions include, but are not limited to, those set forth below. Essential Functions Conducts scheduled inspections and testing of products in Blow Molding, Injection Molding, and Weld Assembly; includes daily PQCC Weld Test and Tank Testing; may include thickness testing. May test raw materials or MYMR supply parts to ensure quality specifications are met. Selects products for testing at various stages of production; performs a variety of tests to measure dimensions, performance, mechanical, electrical or chemical characteristics and records data. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, and finished goods to measure performance, life expectancy or material characteristics. Uses calipers, micrometers, band saw, roto zip and other lab equipment to perform tests. Works with Associates and Production Team Leaders to ensure total quality; takes appropriate action on non-conforming products. May provide data/input for Business Plans, Budgets, and Management Review. May be involved in cost-down activities. Other tasks as required by Management. Must be reliable in attendance and work successfully in a team environment. Support Final Inspection as needed. Competencies Must have strong attention to detail. Must be able to interpret Quality Assurance requirements and maintain accurate records. Must be able to perform testing in a Laboratory environment. Requires strong communication skills. Must have a basic understanding of energy conservation and proper waste disposal and recycling. Ablility to read and comprehend technical instructions and business documents. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Ability to compute rate and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to effectively present informationin one-on-one and small group situations to customers and associates of organization. Must have strong communication and training skills. Ability to get along with others. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to work overtime on short notice which includes Holidays and weekends. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written situations. Must be able to travel to other Yachiyo American Region facilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Prior experience in a Laboratory environment is helpful. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required to talk or hear at moderate to loud noise levels. The associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift, carry, and move heavy objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work Environment The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The performance of this position requires moderate exposure to the manufacturing areas that may require the use of personal protective equipment such as ear, eye, head and foot.

ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
Pay:
$21.14 - $22.69 per hour
