David's Harp provides a warm, friendly, and peer-supportive environment where adults with mental illness can achieve an improved quality of life and the highest possible level of independence within their community. The program provides group socialization and skill building activities in a daytime, clubhouse setting and in the community. Key programs include daily community meetings, community outings, art groups, music therapy, community gardening, games, and wellness groups.Position Description:
While working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Program Supervisor I is responsible for ensuring program activities are administered effectively by staff and as directed by the Program leadership. This position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to assist in client's treatment. This position provides direction to staff, manages response to crisis, and serves as a backup for staff. This position must understand, appreciate, and respect the differences within our Cascadia community. As such, it is expected that this position promotes integrated care, our vision of trauma-informed and person-first approaches and helps create a work environment of acceptance. Essential Duties This position description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, or working conditions associated with the position. Management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties as necessary. General Provide leadership and oversight for the program's daily operations. This includes integration of best practices and evaluation of program services. Assist staff members in working with particularly challenging client situations. Consult on treatment decisions with the Program Manager and other stakeholders including directors, supervisors, and counselors. Build relationships with other health care providers, police agencies and other community organizations. Organize and oversee the day-to-day workflow to assist employees in knowing their job responsibilities and delegated duties. Create work schedules to ensure business needs are met. Monitor and ensure employees are in compliance with organizational and program requirements. Prepare various reports for Program leadership or other stakeholders as required/requested. Evaluate, recommend, and implement methods, systems, procedures, and treatment strategies to reduce costs and to enhance the level of service provided. Create detailed reports summarizing key performance indicators, financial metrics, and other relevant data. Design and maintain report templates for efficient and consistent reporting. Compliance Respect and honor participant rights and responsibilities and demonstrate professional boundaries and ethics. Maintain knowledge of, review and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, and city regulations, contract obligations, and internal policies and SOP. Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPAA requirements. Attend seminars, training, and other educational opportunities to develop professional skills and abilities. Provide input and feedback to program leadership regarding program policies and procedures. Oversee and approve all timesheets and Paid Time Off according to organizational policies and procedures. Supervisory Oversight In collaboration with program leadership, hire and train staff in a manner that encourages and maintains diversity and cultural responsiveness. Participate in staff meetings and training with program to discuss safety concerns, crisis management, complex client needs and risks and critical incidents. Ensure completion of personnel and team documentation as required by assigned programs. In collaboration with the management team ensure work plans and priorities for staff members are addressed. Provide consistent supervision and support for direct reports. Promote and ensure completion of annual training requirements. Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development. Leadership Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity. Create, model, and maintain a work culture that supports and values inclusion, equity, and diversity. Attend and participate in all meetings as assigned, including but not limited to staff and team meetings, consultations with staff, individual and group supervision. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to promote quality and efficiency in Cascadia operations. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Education:
The incumbent must possess a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university or three years of full time professional experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This position must demonstrate the competencies to become credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), as outlined inOAR 309-016-0005.
Certification must be kept current and compliant with the OAR's.Experience:
A minimum of three years of clinical experience providing inpatient or outpatient services is preferred. Experience providing supervision is a plus.Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Possess a valid driver's license, minimum of one year driving history, ability to pass Driver Motor Vehicle (DMV) check and complete the Cascadia online Defensive Driving course. CPR Certification (training provided post-hire).Working Conditions Environmental:
Work is performed in one or more of the following: clinical office, acute care settings and community setting including client residences, correctional facilities, shelters, hospitals, public places and other social service sites. Meal periods and breaks are subject to interruption. Much of the work is performed during regular business hours with the potential of extending into afterhours only for crisis response. Universal Precautions and remaining alert to the environment are critical to address the potential for violent behavior, exposure to disease, biohazards, noise, and contaminants.Mental:
The work assigned is diverse and involves addressing new and unusual circumstances in which outcomes may negatively affect costs, employee morale or clients. The work regularly involves a degree of unpredictability and disruption of planned tasks requiring a flexible time management approach. In addition, this position requires exercising sound judgment. Decision-making may occur in a moderate to high stress situation where a client may be experiencing a crisis.Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to drive, frequent walking, utilization of public transportation and the ability to assist the team in providing safety to all clients and staff in potentially volatile situations.
