POSITION SUMMARY

The CMM Programmer performs first piece, in-process, and final inspections on complex components with tight tolerances, using both manual and automatic CMMs. This role requires strong CMM programming skills and a solid working knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure product conforms to blueprint tolerances and specifications. Accurate documentation of inspection results, and clear communication of findings to the team, are essential to this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Write CMM programs Operate both manual and automatic CMMs Perform first piece inspections and provide feedback on findings and opportunities for improvement to the foreman Document all inspection results Identify, document, and report nonconforming product Calibrate gages Perform other inspection-related tasks as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read complex blueprints and perform inspection layouts, including GD&T Strong computer literacy and proficiency

Preferred:

Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso ASQ certification (CQT, CQI, or similar) a plus Background in aerospace, defense, or precision machining Experience calibrating precision measurement equipment
