Job Description

Quality Inspector - Welding & Fabrication Engines, Inc. | South Point, Ohio Full-Time Engines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector - Welding & Fabrication to join our team at our South Point, Ohio facility. We are looking for someone with a strong , fabrication, or manufacturing quality who takes pride in getting the details right. This is a hands-on position where you will work closely with our production, welding, fabrication, and engineering teams to ensure our products meet company standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality requirements. What You'll Do Conduct visual inspections of welded and fabricated components for defects and conformance to blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures. Perform dimensional inspections using gauges and other precision measuring equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and welding procedures. Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications for accuracy and compliance. Identify and document non-conformances and assist with corrective actions and follow-up. Work directly with welders, fabricators, and engineering to resolve quality concerns and support continuous improvement. Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation. Assist with audits, process evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives. Help ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable quality requirements. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in welding, fabrication, or quality inspection is preferred. 3+ years of experience in welding inspection, quality control, or a related manufacturing field preferred. Knowledge of welding processes, welding symbols, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings. Experience using gauges and other measuring/testing equipment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with AAR and/or
ISO 9001

The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Appropriate PPE is required. Occasional travel between company locations and to customer locations may be necessary.
