Full Job Description Summary of Position:
A Quality Control (QC) Technician inspects and tests materials, processes, and finished products to ensure they meet exact company print standards. They operate testing equipment (manual and electronic), document defects, and help isolate root causes to prevent non-conforming goods from reaching the customer
Principal Responsibilities:
Under general supervision: Using mechanical or electronic tools, inspect parts for non-conformances to the print dimensions. Review (when required) and confirm findings with machine operators of their first piece measurements Inspects completed parts in accordance with AIC established sampling system to assure Quality Control (QC) compliance Perform administrative duties, including timely completion and filing of required paperwork, entry of results and decisions Troubleshoot quality related issues with components and finished goods Assist Department in maintaining QC records of calibration and maintenance as directed by the Product Quality Manager Communicate non-conformances, failure modes and results of root cause investigation to the Quality Manager Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission. Plant Scope of Position:
A Quality Control (QC) Technician focuses on serving as the primary gatekeeper of product integrity, safety, and compliance by monitoring and verifying conforming product and processes.

High school diploma or equivalent Trade, Technical School or Apprenticeship strongly preferred
Prior Experience/Skills:
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required Proficient math skills and print reading is required 5 years minimum experience as a Machinist is strongly preferred 3 years minimum prior experience as an In-Process Quality Inspector is desired Ability to use calibers, micrometers, height gages, and other mechanical measuring devices Ability to use FARO Arm (and Laser Tracker) is preferred. Experience with Polyworks is preferred Ability to lift up to 25lbs Experience/ knowledge/ training on Process and Quality Improvement. Candidate from the local area preferred Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work independently. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job one would occasionally be required to stand, sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools and equipment. Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate. This may include weekdays and weekends. Job duties will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require visits to the production site.
