Quality Supervisor Scope:
Under minimal supervision, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for all quarantine management activities, retain inventory management and rework activities. Neutralization of chemicals from the rinsing of the mix tanks, emptying excess waste from crème totes and monthly internal calibration.
Essential Duties:
  • Manage the inventory of the quarantine area
  • Placing HOLD tags on all product placed in quarantine and notifying the Quality Director
  • Responsible for retain inventory including labeling boxes with appropriate destruction dates and the proper disposal of retains
  • Collecting samples for retesting for out of specification product
  • Disposal of outdated chemicals
  • Reworking product due to damage, returns or internal error
  • Neutralization of chemicals from the rinsing of the mix tanks
  • Keep Production and Quality Management fully aware of new developments and issues
  • Collection of water samples
  • Assist with incoming component incoming inspection
  • Assist with other projects or duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Two to four years of experience in quality control required
  • Working knowledge of pH meters
  • Ability to follow printed/verbal instructions
  • Must follow all safety guidelines
  • Must maintain a clean work environment and follow all quality policies
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally
  • Good organizational skills
  • Work individually or with a team
  • Maintain neat and accurate records
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions closely
  • Basic math and computer skills preferred
  • Excellent work history, attendance, initiative and drive to succeed
  • Maintain excellent communication and relationships with others; be a team player; maintain a positive attitude
  • Assists with other duties as needed to support the team and organizational objectives
