Job Description

QA/QC Inspector (CWI) —
Upper Sandusky, OH Location:
Upper Sandusky, Ohio (on-site)
Schedule:
6 days/week, ~60 hours/week
Duration:
Through end of November / early December 2026, with possible extension
Pay Rate:
$38-$40 per hour
Start:
ASAP About the Role We're looking for a QA/QC Inspector with active CWI certification to join an active industrial construction project in Upper Sandusky, OH, ensuring welding and fabrication work meets code and project specifications. What You'll Do Perform visual weld inspections and quality checks on structural and mechanical fabrication/installation work Verify compliance with AWS D1.1 and applicable project specifications/codes Review welding procedures (WPS), welder qualifications, and NDT reports Document inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to resolve quality issues Support material and fabrication traceability Conduct site inspections throughout the project lifecycle (pre-, during, post-installation) What You Bring Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification Experience with industrial construction, structural steel, or fabrication QA/QC Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and relevant welding codes/standards Strong documentation and reporting skills Comfortable working on-site in an industrial construction environment Willing and able to work a 6-day, 60-hour weekly schedule through the project duration
Pay:
$38.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 60.0 per week Application Question(s): Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and relevant welding codes/standards
