Job Description Position Summary:

Use various hand held and bench mounted measuring devices to determine product quality. Perform in-process and final product audits to ensure product conformance to customer requirements. Maintaining and communicating these results to internal customers.

Essential Functions:

Use White light scanning, Faro Arm, contour tracers, comparators, and other measuring tools to assess condition of tooling, gaging, fixtures, and ceramic cores and blocks

Customer first article or CVSR layouts of ceramic cores

Dimensional inspections of ceramic cores including raw, midpoint, CNC, and final SPC for shipments

Disposition and label cores or blocks to ensure suspect or nonconforming material is stopped and segregated

Partial periodic die assessments

Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures

Maintain department standards for housekeeping/6S

Other duties as assigned by supervision

Required Skills:

Ability to read micrometers and verniers

Ability to organize and maintain documentation

Willingness and ability to learn and perform new assignments

Good written and verbal communications skills

Computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook

Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision Experience & Education Ability to read blueprints

Ability to interpret specification

Ability to understand basic statistics

Laboratory, metrology, calibration, and/or technician experience

Technical certifications or Associates degree in technology (Not mandatory) Physical Demands Not at All Infrequently Occasionally Frequently Continually 30x hr.
