Lab Technician
THIS POSITION
Starts in Chagrin Falls - Moving to Willoughby 2027 50-55K Full-Time | Direct Hire Build Your Career in Materials Science In this role, you'll work alongside experienced laboratory personnel, developing hands-on skills in testing, sample preparation, and material processing that support our quality control, manufacturing, and product development efforts. If you're mechanically inclined, organized, and ready to grow into a career in materials testing, this is a great opportunity to start building real expertise. What You'll Do Perform routine laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and work instructions Prepare, mix, and process laboratory batches according to approved formulations Mold laboratory samples for evaluation of material characteristics Operate laboratory testing equipment Accurately record laboratory test results, raw material samples, and batch information Collect and retain laboratory and production samples Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping Follow all safety procedures for handling chemicals and hazardous materials Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment Report equipment malfunctions, abnormal test results, or safety concerns Assist with inventory of laboratory supplies and raw materials Support quality control, manufacturing, and product development activities Assist with the manufacture of Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) as needed to support production schedules, trials, and development activities Participate in required training programs What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Basic computer and data entry skills Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn laboratory equipment Ability to follow written procedures and instructions Strong attention to detail Good organizational skills Effective communication skills Basic analytical thinking Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive hand movements Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Comfort working with chemicals and laboratory equipment Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments
