Quality Management Systems (QMS) Specialist to immediately support the organization in preparation for and execution of an upcoming
ISO 9001
audit. This is an immediate opening requiring an individual with extensive hands-on experience with ISO 9001, quality management systems, internal and external audits, documentation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, Quality, Operations, Engineering, and other departments to evaluate the current QMS, identify and close gaps, prepare required documentation, and ensure audit readiness. The initial focus of this position will be supporting the upcoming
ISO 9001
audit and strengthening TVS's Quality Management System. This opportunity has the potential to transition into a full-time position based on organizational needs and the individual's performance and experience. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of progressive quality experience , with significant direct responsibility for
ISO 9001
compliance, QMS administration, and audit preparation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES ISO 9001
Audit Preparation and Support Lead and support preparation activities for
ISO 9001
audits. Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Quality Management System to determine audit readiness. Perform gap assessments against applicable
ISO 9001
requirements. Identify areas of nonconformance, risk, or insufficient documentation and develop action plans to address deficiencies. Organize and review documentation, records, procedures, work instructions, and objective evidence required for the audit. Participate in and provide support during external
ISO 9001
audits. Coordinate responses to auditor requests and assist departments in providing appropriate documentation and evidence. Assist with resolution and closure of audit findings and nonconformities. Quality Management System Evaluate, maintain, and improve the organization's Quality Management System in accordance with
ISO 9001
requirements. Review existing quality policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions for compliance and effectiveness. Develop and revise QMS documentation as necessary. Ensure appropriate document control and record retention practices are followed. Assist process owners in understanding and maintaining their responsibilities within the QMS. Monitor QMS effectiveness and recommend improvements to leadership. Ensure quality processes are appropriately documented, implemented, and consistently followed across applicable operations. Support management review activities and preparation of required QMS data and documentation. Internal Auditing and Corrective Action Plan, conduct, and document internal audits in accordance with
ISO 9001
requirements. Identify nonconformities, observations, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Work with department leaders and process owners to develop effective corrective actions. Perform or facilitate root cause analysis. Monitor corrective actions through completion and verify effectiveness. Maintain appropriate records related to audit findings, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. Assist in developing or improving the organization's internal audit program and audit schedule. Quality and Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve quality processes, operational consistency, documentation, and compliance. Assist departments with development of measurable quality objectives and key performance indicators. Analyze quality trends and recurring issues and recommend corrective or preventive measures. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Provide ISO 9001 and QMS guidance and training to employees and management as needed. Serve as a subject matter resource regarding
ISO 9001
requirements and quality system best practices.
