Job Description
Receiving Inspector Employment Type:
Full-Time Join a Leader in Aerospace Quality Mingo Aerospace LLC and AAIC are FAA-certified aerospace repair stations and AS9100-certified manufacturing organizations serving commercial and military aviation customers worldwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join our Quality team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring incoming materials, components, and customer-supplied products meet regulatory, customer, and company requirements before entering production. Primary Responsibilities- Perform receiving inspections of incoming materials, customer-supplied products, and outside processing returns.
- Verify certifications, traceability, material test reports, Certificates of Conformance, and required documentation.
- Inspect parts for damage, quantity, configuration, and compliance with engineering drawings and purchase order requirements.
- Review documentation for compliance with FAA, AS9100, customer, and internal quality requirements.
- Record inspection results within the company's quality management system.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials and coordinate with Purchasing and Quality Engineering for disposition.
- Maintain receiving inspection records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Assist with supplier quality activities and corrective actions when necessary.
- Support internal, customer, FAA, and third-party audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free inspection area. Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous inspection or quality experience in manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or a related industry.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Basic understanding of inspection methods and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Preferred
- Aerospace manufacturing or FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience.
- AS9100 quality system experience.
- Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformance and material certifications.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace documentation requirements.
- Experience using ERP or electronic Quality Management Systems (QT9 experience is a plus).
