Role Overview:
We are seeking a Coil Tester to ensure that fabricated coils meet design specifications by detecting defects and deviations using precision measuring instruments and complex testing equipment. This role is essential in maintaining product quality by identifying leaks or deficiencies during coil pressure testing. The Coil Tester will work in a manufacturing environment, ensuring product accuracy and quality while contributing to the team's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Product Inspection Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications. Testing Procedures Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications and testing procedures. Read engineering drawings, bills of material, and manufacturing instructions to ensure product accuracy and quality. Leak Detection & Repair Test coils for conformance to specifications, detecting and repairing leaks found during pressure testing. Problem Solving Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these issues. Test Monitoring Read dials and gauges to verify that testing equipment is functioning at specified levels. RAECorp.com Stack and arrange tested products for further processing, shipping, or packaging, and transport them to other workstations as necessary. Team Contribution Contribute to team efforts by collaborating with others and accomplishing related tasks as needed. Administrative & Compliance Accurately charge time in the time and attendance system to ensure proper labor distribution and payroll accuracy. Utilize IFS system for daily operations, including logging in, reviewing assigned work, and maintaining accurate records Complete and clear IFS shop orders in a timely and accurate manner to support production tracking and reporting Participate in and complete required IFS training to ensure proper system usage and compliance Comply with all government regulations, laws, company policies, and procedures. Attend work as scheduled, arrive on time, and work overtime as required to meet production demands. Independence and Initiative Follow manufacturing instructions, work independently without constant supervision, and complete job assignments on time. Tool and Equipment Care Care for tools and equipment, and advise maintenance when equipment is not functioning properly. Clean Work Area Clean the work area as required to maintain a safe and organized environment.

Skills:
Effective communication, good listening skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions, basic mathematical skills (including the ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch), ability to control operations of equipment or systems, monitoring and assessing performance, teamwork, soldering, and basic mechanical skills.
Certificates, Licenses, or Training:
On-site training, forklift license.

Working Environment:
Work is performed in an industrial production area for a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment can be high in certain areas. The role involves exposure to extreme temperatures during both winter and summer. Seasonal variations in hours worked may occur based on production demands.
