Job Description
We are seeking well organized individuals for quality control positions in a structural steel fab shop. Applicants must be able to perform visual and dimensional inspections on large scale steel components during and after fabrication on the shop floor. Must be able to read prints effectively, use and read a tape measure, measure and record dimensions accurately, and visually inspect material and welds for defects. Also, must be proficient with using computers and software. Must be able to read a tape measure! Ideally, show up on time everyday and have the capacity to learn. Must be able to stand/be on feet for most of the business day. Bending, kneeling, and reaching to measure parts. May occasionally need to climb a ladder. Will work in temperatures that are representative of an open working shop environment as well as an office setting. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
