This is a key technical quality position within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The NDT Level III will be responsible for ensuring nondestructive examination activities comply with applicable customer specifications, industry codes and standards, written procedures, and quality program requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical authority for assigned NDT methods and provide Level III oversight of Effort Foundry's NDT program. Develop, review, approve, and maintain NDT procedures, techniques, and work instructions. Interpret and apply applicable ASME, ASTM, military, nuclear, and customer-specific specifications and acceptance criteria . Establish and approve NDT techniques and examination methods. Perform and/or oversee nondestructive examination of steel and stainless-steel castings. Evaluate NDT indications and determine product acceptability in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements. Provide technical guidance and oversight to Level I and Level II NDT personnel. Support the training, examination, qualification, and certification of NDT personnel in accordance with the company's Written Practice and applicable requirements. Review and approve NDT examination results and associated documentation. Ensure complete traceability and documentation of examinations performed on nuclear, military/defense, and commercial products. Review customer purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and quality clauses to identify and interpret applicable NDT requirements. Support source inspections, customer inspections, and final product acceptance activities. Ensure NDT equipment, reference standards, materials, and processes are properly controlled, maintained, and calibrated. Participate in investigations and disposition of nonconforming material. Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities involving NDT or product quality. Provide technical support to Quality, Engineering, Production, and Management. Participate in and support customer, nuclear, military/defense, third-party, and quality system audits . Assist in maintaining compliance with Effort Foundry's quality systems, certifications, and customer-specific requirements. Identify opportunities to improve inspection reliability, NDT processes, documentation, and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications:

Current or previously held NDT Level III certification , with the ability to qualify/certify to Effort Foundry's Written Practice and applicable customer requirements. Level III qualification in applicable NDT methods, with strong preference for: Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Radiographic Testing (RT) Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible NDT and quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated knowledge of NDT principles, techniques, equipment, interpretation, and acceptance criteria. Experience developing, reviewing, and approving NDT procedures and techniques. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and customer quality requirements. Strong understanding of material identification, heat traceability, certifications, inspection records, and controlled quality documentation. Ability to evaluate NDT indications and make technically sound acceptance/rejection decisions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with production personnel, engineers, quality professionals, customers, and auditors.
