Quality Inspector B Bradford, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22720669 Summary Bradford, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 0 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description The Quality Inspector B will perform necessary inspections of parts or materials.
Primary Duties:
Collect parts from various operations. Prepare parts for inspection by cleaning, buffing, sanding, etc. Visually inspect pieces for conspicuous defects. Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, scales, and other measuring instruments. Maintain accurate, up-to-date inspection records as prescribed by Quality Control procedures. Accept or reject material or parts according to quality of samples inspected. Notify supervisors when inspection indicates deterioration in quality to forestall production of unacceptable work. Instruct others in performance of their duties. Must have an understanding of statistical Quality Control, sampling principles and techniques. Calculate averages, ratios, etc. General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Keep machines, equipment, and work area clean and orderly for operational and work force safety benefits. Keep any production and or quality related records. Employee is responsible for operational productivity, continuous improvement / suggestions and involvement. Employee is responsible for product, function, quality, and job safety. This requires the employee to maintain a full working knowledge of the performance, quality and safety requirements of the function being performed. The employee is to support job related operational training needs regarding existing and or new manufacturing practices / processes / technologies. Perform any other duties related in nature that may be assigned by the supervisor. •This is a manufacturing hourly, full on-site position located in Bradford, PA•Smoking is permitted in most areas of Zippo workplace facilities, other than certain designated non-smoking areas.
