We're seeking an experienced Advanced Quality Inspector to support the inspection, verification, and quality assurance of highly sophisticated electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical products. What You'll Do:
Perform detailed inspections of parts, materials, assemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements. Evaluate defects in real time, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. Maintain quality assurance records, inspection reports, nonconformance documentation, and traceability records. Review engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance. Audit manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives. Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive product improvements.
What You'll Bring:
4+ years of experience in quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or related technical roles. 4+ years of experience inspecting electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or aerospace/defense products. 3+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation. 3+ years of experience supporting quality systems, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and defect analysis. 2+ years of experience utilizing inspection equipment, measurement tools, and quality reporting systems. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
What Sets You Apart:
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, inspection methodologies, and manufacturing processes. Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
Certifications or experience related to:
J-STD-001 J-STD-002 IPC-A-610 MIL-STD-883 MIL-STD-750
X-Ray Inspection Knowledge of ESD control procedures, workmanship standards, and electronics manufacturing best practices. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality data analysis techniques. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and components. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Continuous improvement mindset and interest in leveraging AI and automation technologies to improve quality processes.
Additional Information:
Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and drug screen. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
Overtime:
May be required to support production schedules and program requirements.
Lifting Requirements:
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with inspection and manufacturing support activities.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and quality inspection environment supporting advanced electronic and electromechanical products.
Schedule:
Full-time contract assignment.
