Advanced Quality Inspector
Onsite in Canonsburg, PA
Pay Estimated:
$30 Per Hour 1st Shift
We are hiring an Advanced Quality Inspector to support a defense manufacturing environment by inspecting parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with specified requirements. Perform real-time defect evaluation, prepare quality assurance documentation, verify corrective actions and rework, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to maintain product quality and traceability.
Responsibilities:
The Advanced Quality Inspector will inspect parts, materials, assemblies and equipment for compliance to specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation. This will require the preparation of QA documentation along with the verification of corrective action implementation and rework.
Inspect parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with specified requirements
Conduct detailed inspections throughout production to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
Identify and assess manufacturing defects, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
Verify corrective actions and rework are effectively implemented to prevent recurrence
Ensure parts and materials are properly labeled and traceable throughout the production process
Complete and maintain quality assurance records, inspection reports, and documentation for compliance and audit purposes
Interface with coworkers, internal customers, and suppliers to address quality issues
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
High School diploma or equivalent
4+ years of directly related experience
Solid knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control, workmanship standards, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), statistics, and process control techniques
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify parts and assemblies meet design specifications
Understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components used in inspection and testing
J-STD-001, J-STD-002, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
