About the Role As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of complex mechanical systems and heavy infrastructure. You will utilize your expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT) and precision measurement to ensure all components meet rigorous safety and industry performance standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) on piping, welds, and heavy machinery to identify potential structural flaws. Validate that all materials and assembly processes strictly adhere to design blueprints and high-level technical specifications. Review and verify material test reports, calibration documentation, and inspection packages to ensure project readiness. Manage nonconformance reports by documenting defects, halting non-compliant work, and tracking corrective actions to successful resolution. Collaborate with engineering and site teams to maintain compliance with ASME and NQA-1 nuclear quality standards. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical inspection or a closely related technical field. Advanced proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers. Current Level II or III certification in non-destructive examination (NDE). Demonstrated expertise in applying ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel codes. Preferred Skills Prior experience working within highly regulated environments or the energy sector. Strong understanding of NRC regulatory requirements and compliance documentation. Proven ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical schematics.
