Job Description:
- We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production processes and ensuring the timely delivery of orders to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain hands-on experience in the field of fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and operation of laser cutting machines according to job specifications.
- Perform material handling tasks including loading and unloading of materials onto/from the machines.
- Operate machines (lasers, press brakes, deburring, pem inserters, powder, and paint stations)
- Conduct quality inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet our standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as tracking materials and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
- Basic understanding of machining processes and tools.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
