Quality Inspector - 2nd
Shift Location:
Upper Chichester, PA Pay:
$25-$28/hour + $2/hour shift differential
Schedule:
2:30 PM-11:00 PM We are supporting a growing manufacturing organization that is looking to add a Quality Inspector to its second-shift team. This is a hands-on quality position supporting the inspection of large, custom-manufactured components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading engineering drawings, using precision measuring equipment, identifying nonconforming material, and working directly with production teams to resolve quality issues. Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured components and assemblies. Inspect incoming materials and fabricated parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Use calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and work with 3D CAD drawings when needed. Identify defects, dimensional issues, or nonconforming material and document findings appropriately. Maintain inspection records, quality logs, and related documentation. Communicate quality concerns directly with manufacturing, assembly, and quality team members. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on product quality and manufacturing consistency. Maintain and properly care for assigned inspection equipment. Qualifications Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, construction-product, or large-assembly environment . Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Hands-on experience using digital calipers, tape measures, protractors, and other measuring tools . Comfortable working around large manufactured assemblies and production equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify dimensional or workmanship issues. High school diploma required; technical or associate degree is a plus. Experience with architectural products, metal fabrication, glass, aluminum, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus. Schedule & Training Candidates selected for second shift will initially train on first shift, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, for approximately 2-4 weeks before transitioning to the regular 2:30 PM-11:00 PM schedule. As part of the interview process, candidates should be prepared to complete a basic tape-measure and digital-caliper assessment .
Pay:
$25.57 - $30.80 per hour
