Job Description
Job Overview Ainsley Search Group is supporting a client with a Quality Inspector opening in a manufacturing environment. This person will support quality efforts across the production floor by inspecting curtainwall components, fabricated parts, and finished units to ensure they meet project specifications, internal quality standards, and customer expectations. This is a hands-on manufacturing inspection role, not a lab-based quality position. The Quality Inspector will work closely with production, engineering, and quality leadership to identify potential issues early in the process, verify work against drawings, and help ensure products are built correctly before leaving the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect curtainwall components, fabricated parts, assemblies, and finished units throughout production Review products against 2D/3D engineering drawings, CAD drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Use tape measures and other basic inspection tools to verify dimensions, fit, finish, and overall quality Identify fabrication, assembly, measurement, material, finish, or installation-related concerns Document inspection findings and communicate any nonconformance or quality issues to the appropriate team members Work with production employees, supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to help resolve issues Support inspections in different areas of the facility depending on production needs Help ensure products meet customer/project requirements before shipment Follow all company quality procedures, safety standards, and production guidelines Support continuous improvement efforts by helping identify repeat issues or process gapsQualifications:
Prior quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment required Must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, CAD drawings, blueprints, or work instructions Experience inspecting manufactured parts, assemblies, or finished products Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, or workmanship issues Comfortable working on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication skills and ability to explain quality concerns clearly Ability to document inspection results accurately Experience in curtainwall, façade systems, glass, windows, doors, aluminum, metal fabrication, architectural products, or building products is strongly preferred Basic computer/documentation skills preferred Must be dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working both independently and with a teamPay:
