Day, Evening, Night, and Overnight Shifts May Be Required Job Summary J.D.M. Materials Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing daily quality control activities, including concrete testing, material sampling, process inspections, and final product inspections . The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete materials and testing procedures, the ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues, and the ability to work closely with Plant Operations and the Quality Control Manager to ensure our products meet company and industry standards. Essential Functions Perform initial and ongoing testing of concrete, including slump, air content, temperature, moisture, gradation, and other required tests . Safely collect representative samples of concrete and raw materials for testing. Perform testing in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and applicable industry standards. Prepare, label, cure, and maintain hardened concrete cylinders for strength testing. Perform laboratory testing to determine concrete compressive strength. Compare test results with approved mix designs and specifications to ensure compliance. Monitor concrete quality and identify potential problems or inconsistencies. Work closely with Plant Operations and the Quality Control Manager to identify problems and make necessary adjustments to concrete mixtures and production processes. Communicate test results, quality concerns, and other pertinent information to the Quality Control Manager and Plant Operations. Maintain accurate and timely testing records, reports, and documentation. Assist with troubleshooting quality issues and determining appropriate corrective actions. Conduct process and final product inspections as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification required. Penn

Concrete Technician certification preferred. Previous concrete quality control or materials testing experience preferred. Strong understanding of concrete materials, mix components, and how they interact. Knowledge of proper concrete sampling and testing techniques. Ability to recognize, troubleshoot, and help correct concrete quality issues. Valid Driver's License. Ability to accurately record and communicate test results. Ability to work independently while also working effectively with Plant Operations and the Quality Control Manager. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as needed . Must follow all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable OSHA and MSHA safety regulations . Physical Requirements Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds or more . Must be able to push and/or pull up to 100 pounds . Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely perform testing and sampling around operating concrete plants, trucks, equipment, and machinery. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow testing procedures and specifications. Ability to identify and communicate quality concerns promptly. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy. Ability to work effectively with the Quality Control Manager, Plant Operations, drivers, and other employees. Dependable, responsible, and safety-conscious. Drug & Alcohol Screening Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug screening as required by Company policy and applicable regulations.
