Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform inspection and quality verification of incoming raw materials, components, and outsourced processes for a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that all received items meet engineering requirements, purchase order specifications, and quality standards before being released to production. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods, and is comfortable working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams. Key Responsibilities Perform inspection on incoming raw materials, components, and finished or semi-finished parts Verify conformance to purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.) Apply AQL and sampling plans as required for incoming inspection Review certifications, material test reports, and supplier documentation for accuracy and compliance Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with SOPs Generate and maintain inspection records, inspection reports, and nonconformance documentation Communicate quality issues with internal teams (Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Production) to support timely resolution Assist Quality Management with root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to supplier issues Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, ISO standards, and applicable customer or military specifications Support continuous improvement initiatives related to incoming quality and supplier performance
