Job Description

Job Summary We are a new facility and only work on our own vehicles, no engine or tranny jobs. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Automotive State Inspector to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with state safety and emissions standards. Your expertise will help maintain the highest levels of vehicle safety, contributing to roadworthiness and environmental responsibility. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicles in accordance with state regulations, including safety, emissions, and structural assessments Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to diagnose issues and verify vehicle compliance Document inspection findings accurately and prepare detailed reports for regulatory agencies Communicate clearly with vehicle owners regarding inspection results and necessary repairs or corrections Maintain inspection station equipment, ensuring all tools and diagnostic devices are calibrated and functioning properly Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or auto restoration projects when needed Uphold safety standards by handling heavy lifting safely and adhering to workplace safety protocols at all times Qualifications Valid certification as an Automotive State Inspector with current licensing in the relevant jurisdiction Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, auto body repair, or vehicle maintenance Familiarity with automotive service procedures, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Previous mechanic experience preferred, especially in auto restoration or repair shops Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during inspection or repair tasks Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills to explain inspection outcomes clearly Knowledge of automotive regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements Join our team and play a vital role in ensuring vehicles on the road meet safety standards!
