ASAP Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join a modular home manufacturing operation in Scranton, PA. This position will be responsible for inspecting modular home components and systems throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards, customer specifications, building codes, and applicable safety regulations. Important Requirement Candidates must have hands-on experience in modular housing/home manufacturing. This is a key requirement for the position. Candidates without modular home manufacturing experience may not be considered. Key Responsibilities Perform quality inspections of modular home components, materials, structural elements, and systems at various stages of the manufacturing process. Identify defects, quality issues, deviations, and areas that do not meet established standards. Ensure modular homes and components comply with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company requirements. Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, construction drawings, and specifications. Work closely with production, engineering, construction, and other departments to identify and resolve quality concerns. Assist with corrective actions and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ensure work is completed according to established procedures, specifications, and deadlines. Follow company safety policies and applicable industry regulations. Communicate quality issues clearly with supervisors, production teams, and other departments. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience in modular housing/manufacturing is required. Hands-on experience with modular home manufacturing is required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical/construction documents. Familiarity with NEC and IBC building codes is preferred. Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively within a team. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in a modular home or modular housing manufacturing facility and understand the quality requirements involved in producing modular homes. Experience inspecting structural components, materials, electrical/plumbing systems, finishes, and other manufactured-home components is highly valuable.
